Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. On the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as seen by flashback) Her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. The actress did not go on to consider a career in acting after reaching adulthood because her parents were worried about the detrimental consequences stress can cause. Perry confessed that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school. However, she began doing it to connect with new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University moved to New York in search of TV roles. Perry was able to land small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness drove her to California in search of theater jobs. The Other Place was performed by her and her mom in 2013 on Broadway in 2013. Her father Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie together with her in the year 2015. Perry appeared in 9 episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, Perry was a part-time character in the ABC political drama Scandal in which her father was the main character. The same year, she appeared as a younger model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother as a young version. Despite the fact that she has a connection with her family to the character she got the role through an audition.
